It was a little passed midnight and I lay seemingly awake on the rose red bed, staring deeply at the dim light in the almost dark room.

As if waiting for total darkness, I hummed.  …

In a blink of an eye, someone sat beside me. Legs towards the chair and backs against me. She rocked the bed as though ridding a swing.

She looked my way and I sighed.

She was my roommate.

I wondered why she came to my bed rather than hers, not until she began to speak.

Rocking back and forth like a child, she nudged my rib with her elbow and spoke.

“I miss the times…” she whispered

“I miss the times when you’d sing to me, in hymns and tongues”

She smiled broadly and began singing in other tongues.

A silent melody, too catching to turn away.

I had not realized the simple fact that I had never sang for my roommate.

I joined in and a beautiful melody which I didn’t understand escaped from my lips.

I looked straight at her and smiled. Our melody moved at the same frequency.

I arced upwards wanting to be closer when my gaze fell upon my roommate, supposedly sleeping on her bed at the other end of the room.

My melody came to an abrupt end.

I was entranced! Spellbound!!!

He had visited me in the likeness of my roommate. He found a way to call me back.

Yes! I was entranced, bedazzled, spellbound, as if by magic ‘.

I smiled and reclined to bed.
